BOLDLY INCLUSIVE Embracing
all people as they are, celebrating diversity and affirming the uniqueness of each person. INTENTIONALLY CHALLENGING Encouraging questions, exploring issues and finding new ways to live our faith
as Christians in a changing world. JOYFULLY

for lives of service, praise and thanksgiving.
OUR LOGO The imagery of the grapevine is prominent in the New Testament, particularly in John 15 where Jesus
said, "I AM THE TRUE VINE." When you look at the logo at the top
of this page, you will see colored blocks underneath the name, "Lamb of God." These are modern graphical representations
of a Grape Vine, a Grape Cluster and a Grape Leaf. These images remind us that we are all a part of
the true vine, flowing with life, and that we are all connected together in ministry.
OUR HISTORY Lamb of God Church began 25 years ago in the San Carlos Park area of Lee County,
Florida as two churches ... Lamb of God Lutheran Church and St. Joseph’s Episcopal Church. In 2000, St.Joseph’s
Episcopal changed its name to Lamb of God Episcopal and began worshiping with Lamb of
God Lutheran.
In 2004, the two congregations were legally merged to form the first Lutheran Episcopal Congregation
in the State of Florida, and only the second in the nation. This merger was approved by both the Evangelical Lutheran Church
in America and the Episcopal Church USA. The rest as they say, "is history".
