Pastor Lucas McSurley
Pastor Lucas McSurley has been professionally relating God’s story to people since 2018. He has lived into his call to serve the church since early childhood. He has served alongside a wide variety of people within many settings that range from small-town rural to developing inner cities. His passion is to bring people together, deepen spirituality, and broaden our understanding of community.
Pastor Lucas received an undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Wittenberg University (Springfield, OH). He continued his studies at Trinity Lutheran Seminary at Capital University (Columbus, OH). His pastoral education included ministry with Lord of Life Lutheran Church (West Chester, OH) and Chaplaincy at Kettering Medical Center (Dayton, OH). Lucas came to the Lamb of God Lutheran/Episcopal Church after serving with the good folks of Messiah Lutheran Church (Akron, OH).
Lucas and his wife, Alex, love caring for their dogs. You’ll usually find them exploring parks, kayaking, or grabbing a drink and bite to eat at any local hidden gem.
Steve Anderson, Director of Operations
Steve Anderson is serving as interim Director of Operations. He has extensive experience serving as Treasurer for multiple organizations. He has a professional career in financial planning, investments, and church insurance. In retirement, Steve loves to serve the community and to travel across the country visiting family. Lamb of God is grateful for his willingness to guide us through the transition of this role.
Juliana Alfano, Director of Music
Juliana Alfano is a professional voice teacher and the Director of Music at Lamb of God church. Prior to moving to Fort Myers, she earned her Master’s Degree from Penn State in Voice Pedagogy and Performance and a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from The Crane School of Music. As a classically trained soprano, she has performed several opera roles and her training has taken her to NYC, Austria, and beyond!
Val Bridegam, Care & Connection Specialist
Val Bridegam is retired after 33 years in a hospital setting, where she cultivated a passion for empathy and active listening. She loves learning about people and hearing their life stories. Trained in Stephen Ministry, she is well-suited for accompaniment, caregiving, and companionship. In addition to caregiving, she often serves as a first point of connection for many new people learning how to best plug into our faith community.

Marie Archer, Finance Specialist
Marie Archer serves dueling as Finance Specialist for the church and as Assistant Director of the Preschool. She is dedicated to supporting the church’s mission and creating a nurturing, faith-based environment for children and families. Marie enjoys working in ministry and values serving both the church community and preschool families. She is happily married and the proud mother of four sons and one daughter.

Mika Peterson, Media Specialist
Mika Peterson brings lots of positive energy to our community, she's passionate about capturing our ministry moments and sharing them with the world via digital media. She also oversees our tech needs, especially on Sunday morning during Worship. Native to Fort Myers, she graduated from Stetson University with a degree in psychology.

Dave Kenny, Maintenance Specialist
Dave Kenny can fix anything! He enjoys keeping our property clean and running smoothly. From Michigan, he now enjoys being a fulltime resident in the local area. Family remains most important and you'll likely find him cruising the canals of Cape Coral or out in the open water on his boat.
