Outreach

Lamb of God Church has many outreach ministries. Some of the ministries listed below are provided directly through the time and effort of members of our church. Other ministries are independent of Lamb of God, but receive support from us in the form of financial contributions and volunteer time. The Lamb of God community invites volunteers from other faith communities to join us. We also welcome volunteers who are not part of any faith community.

 

 

Feeding the 5000

Feeding the 5000: Thanksgiving Outreach is a local community of volunteers and business partners coming together in the battle against hunger in Southwest Florida.

Over the past ten years, we have provided over 65,000 Thanksgiving meals to needy families across a five-county area—from Port Charlotte to Immokalee. Hundreds of community volunteers join together during the week of Thanksgiving to prepare and package fresh, hot meals. On Thanksgiving morning, volunteer drivers deliver those meals to families and ensure that everyone has plenty to be thankful for.

Feeding the 5000 provides our best opportunity to fight against hunger, support our community, and help needy families during the holiday season.

Want to get involved?
We need hundreds of volunteers during the week of Thanksgiving. You can register to volunteer on our website at www.feedingthe5000.net/volunteer. Registration opens in early November and fills up quickly.

If you are unable to volunteer, we would love it if you could make a donation. 100% of the proceeds go directly toward food and supplies for the outreach. To learn more about ways to donate, visit our website.

 

 

Adult Education

At the Lamb of God Church, we recognize the importance of lifelong learning and personal growth, which is why we offer a variety of adult education programs. These programs are designed to foster spiritual, intellectual, and personal development, catering to a wide range of interests and needs. Our adult education courses cover diverse topics such as Bible study, theology, spirituality, ethics, and personal growth, among others. These programs are open to everyone, regardless of their faith background or level of knowledge, and provide a supportive and nurturing environment for learning and personal exploration. Join us on this journey of growth and discovery as we seek to deepen our understanding of ourselves, each other, and the world around us.

 

 

Family Ministries

At the Lamb of God Church, we believe that families are the cornerstone of our community, which is why we offer a variety of family ministries programs to help support and strengthen families in their faith and life journey. Our family ministries programs provide opportunities for families to come together in fellowship and growth, encouraging one another in their faith, and equipping them with the tools and resources they need to navigate the challenges of family life. We offer programs for all age groups, including children, teens, and parents, covering diverse topics such as parenting, marriage, relationships, and spiritual growth. Our goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where families can connect, learn, and grow together, building lasting relationships and deepening their faith. Join us as we celebrate the gift of family and seek to strengthen and support one another on this journey of life.
